After a fantastic inaugural event last year, the 2nd Annual Newcastle Craft Beer Week is running again during November 18 to 25. Australia’s best craft brewers will be in Newcastle to celebrate, educate and enjoy everything good about good beer!
For those that missed last years event it was expertly planned and executed. Things were fantastic in my opinion and this is one local event I’ve been waiting to come around again.
This year, 2012, there will be a special collaboration beer brewed by Murrays and Hunter Beer Company to commemorate the invasion of a Japanese submarine, the I21, that attacked Newcastle on the 8th June 1942 – which was repelled by the troops stationed at Fort Stratchley.
Newcastle Craft Beer Week will also give you the opportunity to travel ‘Around Australia in BEER’ without leaving Newcastle by getting on dedicated tour bus stopping into all the Pint of Origin hotels on Saturday 24th November.
To close the week off Newcastle Craft Beer Week heads to Lake Macquarie for the 6th Annual Warner’s @ the Bay Beer Festival on Sunday 25th November.
There is a fantastic line-up of breweries for this years event and I strongly advise you all to get along if you get the chance. If you want to see which of your favorite brewers will be there, this link will reveal all.
Cheers!
