Little Creatures, once a regular on my “must have” lists, is set to join the Japanese power-house Lion in a move fully backed by Little Creatures’ themselves.
The West Australian company is currently valued at $380 million dollars and the Japanese owned Lion has agreed to operate the brand as “distinct and individual”, keeping the popular Little Creatures’ Brewery alive and operating out of Fremantle.
I really hope that this does not change the flavour or ingredient profile of Little Creatures’ beers too greatly, although I must admit of recent times they are not the same Little Creatures’ of a few years ago – my guess financially they could not sustain the old profiles, perhaps this is the reason for the backing of the take over?
